Stock S2000 VS SL65 AMG
After reading the R8 vs S2000 reminded me of a race that happend not too long after i got my s2000 and i was bone stock at the time. I was sitting behind the MB at a red light ready to get on the interstate. As we come up the on ramp he "gets on it", so i down shift and start creeping up on him. I slowly pass him as the speeds get higher. At 110 im a car in front of him with him very slowly falling back. Now had i actually backed out of it right then, like most people do, I forever would have thought i beat an sl65. I however am the type that likes to take it to 150+ on the regular. So i stayed in it and i guess he got tired of toying with me. Because around 115mph all the sudden i hear a loud woosh and one of the most awesome exhaust notes i have ever heard in my life. Needless to say he blew by me like i hit the brakes and put it in reverse. His tail lights quickly disappeard in the distance and I never saw the car again.

Nice story!
Reminds me of a time when me and an older M3 (mid 90s?) were messing around while merging on a highway. He was of course slightly faster and was slowly pulling away in the other lane.
Out of nowhere a black C6 flies right past us as we're still going full throttle around 105.

witnessed something similar...
cavalier and some other worthless POS riced out crapbox were racing eachother on the highway (i was just mindin my own business).
all of a sudden a car i'd been eyeing over in the right lane decides to join in. FD, license plate "LS1ED"... yeah i guess he was bored so he revs it up and blows the doors off both the ricers. i gave him a thumbsup later on down the road...
that car sounded amazing.
