Stock s2000 vs. new WRX Sti vs. slightly modded s2000
On Thursday night a honda club friend and I met up with another friend who recently purchased a new sti.
We ran several times on the highwa, always with similar results.
Twice we ran from about 80 kph to 150kph. The two s2k's were dead even. The sti ate us up pretty bad (at least three car lengths). He pulled pretty hard until he reached about 130 and then seemed to stop pulling.
The third run we went from about 125kph and he only pulled slightly on us.
In the s2000's we didn't have a passenger the sti had one passenger.
The sti was running 19psi boost compared to the stock 15.5psi. Glenn, the owner of the sti had some mod which tricks the ecu. I believe it involve a T piece added near the wastegate? I don't know much about turbos.

Cool, the STi sounds very quick. Though, you mentioned that he's running 19psi boost ... is that the new Sti that was not run-in a week ago? The one you mentioned in your WRX thread. If it is, then I'm surprised to see that he boosted it so quickly.
Also, just wondering if the Sti has 'variable' boost and if you can run him when he has stock boost. I've get an idea of how a stock STi would go as I've encoutered one on a track but still, it would be nice to hear an independent story.
