Naw, my car is just slow.
Yeah right.

Honestly it could have very well been his intake. If you listen to an f-body or C5 start up in the morning from a cold start it is kind of like the S2000 where it is sucking more air in at first. It actually makes a noise that could be described by some as whining. After about thirty seconds or so you hear this sound that resembles a pressure release and the car stops sucking so much air. Maybe when he downshifted this pressurization I am referring to kicked in and he just started sucking a lot more air. Going 90-100MPH down the freeway can definitely alter many of the road sounds we take for granted.

I have been witness to magnusen S/C'd vettes running well under what they should. At the end of last season a guy had an 02 with the Magnusen. he also had exhaust and headers. Best run 13.1@113 same night I ran 12.6 @ 113. Tthere are many variables, But a good running well tuned S/C Vette should trap 120+ and be a monster from a roll. Glad you had fun racing him thats what it's all about. And you never know who your gonna beat and who's gonna kick your azz.

Thats why the N20 is always armed and ready Not many people expect to race a mid 11's car on street tires And I dont always explain to people what happened to them. Because sometimes I never see them again

I confirmed with a local Vette owner (anyone remember Glen?) that the guy had a SC'ed Vette.

Damn, if only he were here, I'd ask him if he remembered the gray minivan that stuck with him (by about 4 car lengths) to close to 150mph...

Sorry to get off point; however, alexf20c, what will you do if one of these times you have to stop, slow down or avoid traffic in your minivan that is going 150ish mph?
It sounds like one of the most dangerous cruise missiles on the road

Just wanted to know
