a Z3 with an M engine is the M roadster which should have smoked you badly. I'm guessing this was a regular Z3 you ran.
Uh, and the regular Z3 would've been smoked by an S2000. I'm guessing it was also a 240-hp M roadster.

Couple days ago, I was behind a 315-hp M roadster, and it looked super wide for some reason.

The rear of the M roadster is wider than the Z3.

No it is not. The M roadster and Z3 both have a 68.5 inch width.

yes, we've already established that fact, but I hope it doesn't make you feel like any less of a toughguy for having corrected me on it after the fact.
Nope, but I surely feel like Einstein after having corrected you.

Yes, wider wheelbase to acccomodate the bigger wheels, but the body itself remains the same width.

My lowered S52 M coupe with 265's out back sure looked mean.

I was coming back from stanford and an older guy in an M roadster took off from the light ahead of me. I tried running him down in my FX, to pull a ricer flyby, but was denied.......barely.

We ended up at another light a few miles down, and I asked him if it was the 240hp version....

"Yup, sure is."
Me: "Nice, I hear they have a 300hp version too!"
Him "Yeah, but I dont know what I'd do with all that horsepower. It would be too fast to drive!"
Me:"Errrrrrrrrrrrrr........"

Lol.
