Well before I start I would like to tell everyone who would reply with you are a bad man for speeding on a public highway. Well it was my choice bad or good, so deal with it and put up your protest banner elsewhere.

The story:

I was driving down Loop12/35 when I passed up a 350z. I didn't think he would want to race as it looked like an older gentlemen and his wife. So I just passed them and continued on my way. I later slowed down from the speed I was going to laugh and look at this riced out civic beside me. Well before you knew it the 350z had came up beside me on the left and was about a car ahead of me. I started to down shift 6->5, 5->4, and when I got to 4->3 he took off and then so did I. Well at this point I'm a little more then a car behind him and we are hauling butt. As I go through 3rd to 4th I begin to start gaining on him slowly and when we got up to about 110 I was up to his right front fender. I then left off as there was some traffic coming up and I didn't feel like ramming the lady in the rear. He later gave a big thumb up and so did I. It was a very good race.

After thoughts:

Considering that he had a passenger and an unknown amount of gas. I also had 3/4 of a tank of gas. I think it would pretty much be a dead even race had it been under more ideal conditions. So I will not claim this as anything other then a fun race.

Great race. I raced a 350z on the highway, I won, but barely. I was not sure if it was an auto or manual. But a lady was driving it, FAST! I can't wait for another chance.

I've raced two S2K's from 65-120 and both I was pulling towards the end (got a little jump on both as well). No passanger or spare tire, E Model 350Z, stock. Also my car has 5K miles on it, which makes a big difference, esp. if the car has less then 2K miles.

6 Speed. A few people have had problems with the 6 Speed, mostly grinding at high RPM shifts. Mine is butter though. They are replacing them with no problems which is nice. One question I have is, is it tough to keep the S2K in the powerband constantly?
