S2K will lose all day in a drag race. They are mid-high 13 second cars. I dont care what that jackass edmunds.com says. Best ive seen from a stock one at the track was a 13.7@101. Thats about half a second faster than a stock S2K, and half a second is a lifetime.
well the fastest S ive seen was a 13.8@102 so i would say its a driver's race.

Where are you pulling all of this "useful" info from? Your ass?

A properly driven s2k will hit 13.7 secs @101 and hit 13's all day.
Where at? In magical yellows2kpowerland?

The bottom line is take two good drivers, take both cars, and the stang will wax the S all day long. youre ignorant if you think otherwise.

And i pulled all of my useful info out of my head, dipshit.

you just said the new mustang runs 13.7@101. that's what a good driver in an S2000 will run.

how is that "waxing the S all day long"??

I know. One thing I don't get Matt, why do all of these people that don't even own a S2000 try to argue with us about its performance? It's like me trying to argue with the Z06 guys that they can't hit 11.9's in a stock Z06. They shouldn't talk when they have no idea. And then they resort to name calling. Typical fanboys.

I guess they take it personally since the 05 Mustangs are selling for more than new S2000s right now(big markup) and straight line is the only thing it can do.

How about that 63.6 MPH slalom???

Hehe, are you serious? Don't they have them at $27,000? I thought that's how much they cost?

Well the stang fanatics I know said they can't get them any less than MSRP. I know one guy who went to check out the GT vert and they told him it would be $45K. He went and got a new vette!

In my area code, edmunds says the premium GT vert is averaging $31,420...That's about $2,000 more than I just got my S2000 for!

Of course the coupe is cheaper and may run 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 mile than the vert...
