S2k vs 02 SS Camaro 345hp

I agree, I don't understand the "try hitting the curves on a track" argument - the S2000 would be at a disadvantage there too. The Camero isn't a perfect car by any means, but its limits are awfully high. Those big fat tires give the Camaro some serious credentials on any track, when compared to your typical S and its 225s. The Camaro isn't easy to drive at its limit, so I think the average driver will get more about of the S2000 than the Camaro at 8/10ths or 9/10ths simply b/c it's challenging to hit 10/10ths in a f-body. But when you do, you'll keep up with most bona fide sports cars on the road, even on curves.

If this helps..Stock C5's aren't a race with me they are an easy walk. I've raced one ls1 camaro I still pulled him but very slowly, about the same difference as a z06 pulls me, very slowly.

LOL u seriously smoking something, the S2000 is in the base vette class and stays right on its tail, think about it, an almighty v8 and cant run away from a 4cyl. If u s/c the S2000 that vette all it will see is tail lights thats a fact. Like most runs Ive seen it greatly depends on driving skills and since most vette owners are up their asses and cant do anything else but punch the gas in their (mostly auto.) v8s, they get spanked by 4cyl. By numbers in the books I doubt that a base 6m vette would outrun a s/c s2k, and Ill be willing to put more than money on that.
I still will chose an s2k over a vette even if the vette is mighty fast cuz flat out speed does not make any car any better.

Well, he also has gears. And anything can happen on the frigging street, for s sake. People shouldnt be so bloody close minded. If you cant handle the fact that you will not win 100% of the races you are "supposed to," then dont bloody race!!!!!!!

276HP times 15% drivetrain loss = to 317 flywheel hp.
2700lbs and 317hp= 8.51 power to weight.(s2000-sc)
3400lbs and 335hp= 10.14 power to weight(Camaro SS)
What is the problem here?
Torque on the Honda is lower, but hp is ratio wise stronger. The Honda in theory should win.
