Default S2k vs 02 SS Camaro 345hp

My friend has the camaro stock and I have an 01 S2k stock. We were driving on the highway going 120km/h and he was 1 1/2 cars behind me when we both decided to drop the gears and go for a run. I dropped it to 3rd gear and ran through 3rd and 4th. By the time I hit 5th gear he was 1 1/2 cars ahead of me. Big V8 power, I didn't have a chance. I tried him off the line and I had a better launch out of first and before I could get into second gear a stupid car jumped out in front of me so we had to stop.

I am not a fan of American cars but I do respect them. The car is very very fast. I will have to run against him after I get Supercharged.

With a S/C, a S2000 should hang tight with a Stock LS1. Most Comtech S2000's run high 12's to low 13's...which is on par with what a well driven LS1 will do.

BTW: he lost by three cars the way I look at it, because the SS was 1 1/2 cars behind when they jumped on it...still good run

Actually most comptech guys run mid 13's, the turbo guys are the ones in the 12's.

I ran a SS and expected to get killed from a 30 mph roll. I was right next to him till 100! Then we had to slow down. From a dig, he should win. It was a black SS with chrome rims and exhaust. Maybe an auto?
