S2K versus Mini Cooper works 225.
Well guys just got back from my race with a Mini Cooper S Works estimated 225 bhp. He had made his Mini works soon after he had bought it which means around 200 bhp. yesterday he put the new camshaft in and a new improved software and he was pretty sure that he will outperform me. The car is also about 100 Kg less in weight in total. So we went on the motorway and I aggreed to start from 50Km/h 2nd gear and race from that. First race and he missed the 3rd gear and i was infront obviously even though before losing 3rd and even starting half car behind I was already infront.
Second race I hit the rev limiter in 3rd and I was not ready for that so I lost ground a bit but in the 4th I started pulling away an by 5th I was clearly ahead.
Mine is stock and the tires are really bad this is why I opted to start from roll. If I wasn't hitting the rev limmiter, I would have been ahead sooner. It was close though!
He says he needs 20 more bhp to get me. Well I will wait for him and I will ask you the following;
What would you modify first in the car to have a few more bhp? Maybe 4.77?
I wish I lived in the states to be able to play around. Here in Greece there is no one that really knows the S2000.

If nobody knows it, dont risk modding it 
unless you know how to install all the parts 
I am about to get my 4.77's in so I do not personally know how an S with them runs. But according to xviper, the 4.77's give almost a supercharger type burst. I hope that's the case

But it isn't THAT great compared to many of the cars on the board...
I have the HKS Hi-Power exhaust and ASA FR1 rims. They are 17". Hope that helps

Many cars on this board are way too loaded for my taste. Yours is simple and detailed.
Did you read any special manuals on how much to lower the car and what kind of shock absorbers to use or you just went on and lowered to a local shop? I am afraid of making the balance of the car worse by altering these settings... It feels (stock that is )amazing balanced and I am not sure how it will behave with lower springs and shock absorbers.

4.77 would make the car a bit undrivable on the highway
if there r no or little highways where you live, then they r awesome
i would get the 4.44s instead with a couple more mods(I,E,H) would make the s much faster than a stock one

As for the 4.77 gears, u say it gives a supercharger like burst, but what does it do to gas mileage and rev to speed factors? Someone told me that changin the gears kills your gas mileage, and any negative things i should be aware of?
