s2k topdown vs 350z topdown
topdown and when not in Vtec....
5PM and after several miles of trying to get to the front of the pack....
I let the Z take the open lane we pass the last car insight, and he had the initial jump
I was hoping to line up side by each..... he just stomped on it and did not let me line up.
Off the line was fine..... Second gear I bounced off revlimiter (oops) he had a 1/2 car lead..
Third gear about 7500 I'm pulling up next to him... Fourth/fith gear 110mph and I have a 1/2 car on him and we shut down
He was pulling a little from off the line to 50mph, His top end really sucked.... at 80-110 I pulled from being behind to 1/2 car infront
He was on it the hole time no doubt about it.... he had exhaust and larger wheels

While I don't doubt what you said happened, the Z most definitely let off at around 100 mph with you thinking you pulled a car at the 110 mph mark. The reason being is that the Z will typically start pulling the S2k at around 100 mph. It doesn't make any sense that it would be the other way around. And most people don't race past 100mph on the street ....unless you are going for a top speed/highway run.
From your story, you probably would have been a half a car ahead at the end of the 1/4 if you were both lined up evenly.

Good kill, i ran a 350z vert about a year ago and didnt have much problem pulling on him a good bit. If you would have been in vtec intially you would have really gotten ahold of him.

Yeah the convertible Z is definitly atleast a little bit slower then the regular 350...I've beaten 2 of them in my stock G35. I think i've seen it before in magazine's that they run 14.3-14.4's. However im not a big fan of magazine's!
