ok, me and my close friends decided to run last night to compare our cars before we mod it.
02 S2000-bone stock 30k miles
94 RX-7 touring-bone stock 30k miles
01 Saleen- supercharged from the factory w/30k miles
all these cars are manual transmission and i dont know why we all have similar mileage.

it was a 45-110mph run. my s2000 and the rx7 pretty much stayed dead even all the way through but the saleen got a jump in the beginning but didnt pull hard after that but still beat us. im suprised i was able to hang cause when i drive their cars, it "feels" alot faster than mine.

its a S281 Supercharged! no, he was more like 3 cars ahead at the end of 110 mph. i know he would have whooped ass if the race was longer.

silver bullet go on your stang forums....no need to hate on s2000's.... last time i checked this was a s2000 forum also...and the 5.0 stangs did not even make 240crank hp from the factory...i think the last version made a WHOPPING 225 crank hp...what a waste of displacement...yes you can make fast 5.0 with mods...but we are talking bout stock cars here....please go hate on the rsx forums theres alot of posts on there site killing or owning 5.0 and remember there cars are slower than ours...and i have ran 13.7 in a bone stock s2000 not to bad and the fastest stock mustang gt ive seen at the track was a 14.3 so please stfu ...the stang aint the greatest car in the world neither is the s2000...so go play on your own forum....you dont see us going around and bashing on mustangs

Nice runs. Jsut for a comparison my buddy's stock 03' Mach 1 can pull my other buddy's stock 02' SC Saleen ( conv.) by about a car in the 1/4. The Mach runs 104 mph and the SC hasn't been to the track yet.

Phaze.. fastest times/ mph I've seen were similar--> 14.3-14.5 @ 97.2-98.4 mph. That was the range for 4 stock GT's I saw at Englishtown, which is a fast track. Also, I ran a stock Gt my last time at the track and it only chugged up to 96.7 mph.

Um....I'm confused here...An S2000 is on par, or a little faster than a stock manual Mustang GT, and of course pretty close with a S281, since there's not a whole lot of difference.

So why is it when people question how a stock S2000 can hang with a SUPERCHARGED s281, they get beat down? It seems to me like a supercharged s281 would have no problem beating a stock S2000 by more than a few cars. Aren't the sc s281 putting down over 300hp to the wheels?

not a whole lot of difference? HELLO s281's are supercharged, and have 365hp. Tell me an s2k stayed with one and ill laugh at you then slap you. And no an s2k cannot, in most cases, take a stock manual GT. Just wont happen.

Actually, SilverBullet, you are incorrect. I have done it MANY times, and most of the time the car is not stock, it has exhaust. I am decent friends with one of the GT's I've raced. From a stop he jumped a couple of cars (according to everyone in the scene down here he's quite good off the line), and after that, dead even. And he had exhaust and a few other things that he won't admit.

From a roll, I followed and watched a buddy of mine race him, and they were dead even to well past 100. And don't even make me tell the story about the guy with the aftermarket rear bumper that had the exhaust coming out of it. Yeah, he sneered at me for about a second...

Also, you should be careful what you say. Not all s281's are supercharged.
