S2000 vs M Roadster (240HP)
hehe, 240HP vs 240HP. Although, I do miss a lot of torque. But, thanks to 4.1:1 final drive ratio.
This is how it started. I was an intructor in MIS (Michigan International Speedway) for BMWCCA. I have a BBQ to attend right after the track day on Saturday. We left the track at the same time. Since I was in a hurry, I am trying to pass as many cars as I can on a narrow 2 lane freeway. As soon as I downshift to pass a car on my lane, he soon followed. We passed so many cars within 20 miles on a back road in the middle of nowhere.
As we approaches the highway, I can see his smile to run with me to the on-ramp. Too bad, there was a van pulled right in front of us and beat us to the on-ramp. Both of our car stuck behind the van until we reaches the high way. I was in second gear right on 6500RPM. I punched it and he did, too. We are keeping the same length from 2nd @6500RPM to 130MPH.
The next day, he came up to me and says, "We can get a lot of trouble if we see each other too often." He was very surprised to see how my car pulled as fast as he does on acceleration. I told him I only have 4 cylinders. He was shocked.
All in all, it was fun and the first time I really challanges a BMW M Roadster. I can tell he was ich for a race. He is a volunteer for the driving school. Since he has a M Roadster, so he didn't drive on the track at all for one full day. He thanked me the next day for relieving him some of the speed demon inside him.

Yep, an old fart in a brand new M Roadster wouldn't let me in the fast lane on the freeway, he kept gunning it, just short bursts. The new ones are definitely fast, very torquey, prolly faster than the S2s.
