Camaro T-56 http://www.mtv411.com/auto/Chevy-Camaro.htm
3rd gear Ratio, 1.30:1. 4th Gear Ratio, 1.00:1. 5th Gear Ratio 0.74:1. 6th Gear Ratio .50:1.

Honda S2000 http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/cars/s2000.html
3rd Gear Ratio, 1.48:1. 4th Gear Ratio, 1.16:1. 5th Gear Ratio, 0.97:1, 6th Gear Ratio, 0.81:1... Final Drive is 4.10:1 stock

The Honda is geared much more aggressively than the Camaro, as the Camaro has basically 2 overdrives Basically a fairer race would have been his 5th gear versus your 6th gear.. and you'd still have a slight advantage with your rear. And his 4th versus your 5th.. I own a z28.. and 6th gear bogs really hard at 50 , and that's with modified 4.10 gears.. It's hard to believe he even managed to race you. The main thing is my LS1.. which underratedly dyno'd 308rwhp.. still gets 30+mpg on the highway on the trip home from rhode island with it..with the modded 4.10's.. Not bad for a 350-360hp motor. But as far as racing goes, camaro's 6th gear is useless.. 4 gears is really all you'd need in a race that didn't go well into triple digits..
