around laguna seca, I posted a 1:51 or so, about the same or a tad faster than a stock EVO.

so, in a track environment... yes.

if your s2k has all the bolt ons, you can beat an evo(not from a dig though)

As for the EVO and S race.....take a look around in here, there are a few threads on it. Besides, I will let you know sometime after this weekend when I race my hubby in his EVO

In a straight line with bolt ons, NO. Add forced induction, yes.

If you race a EVO 8 from a dead stop and he dumps the clutch around 6,000RPMS he will beat you unless he messes up along the way. If you do a rolling start with a EVO 8 then it could be anyones win.

I drove a EVO 8 just because I love cars and could not help myself and I have to say the turbo kicks in pretty hard around 3,000RPMS but you can feel the boost start to taper off towards redline.

According to just about all magazines and what I have seen at the drags the EVO'S are pulling 13.3-13.9 in the 1/4mile and the S2000's including my own are pulling 13.8-14.5 in the 1/4mile in stock form

the evo8 will take the s2000 on a dead stop, or even from a rolling start. i know because my friend and i would race after work and he always kick my a$$. i am running a CAI and a rm exhaust, on the evo8 : up pipe, straight pipe, 3' cat exhaust and CAI.

comparing the CAR not the driver, the EVO is faster and quicker in all of the above situations.

It would take an S2000 with i/h/e and either cams or ITBs, with ECU work obviously to be able to beat a stock EVO every single time.
