Elise is a sweet ride, very funky looking. Definitely faster.

Elise:
0-60 = 4.4
0-100 = 12.0
rolling 5 - 60 = 5.8
Why would the rolling times be longer than the 0-60 times?

Am I missing something?

Hmmmm, I see. What about if I get it up to 5mph, put in the clutch and rev it up to 6k and do a launch. Does that still count? Hahaha J/K.

Thanks for the explanation.

think of racing the elise as if you were racing an '03 cobra... they're similar in straight line acceleration

the elise is 1/2 the weight and 1/2 the hp of the cobra

I have driven the elise. Very fast car. The S would have a chance in the straights or the turns. Trust me.

1.18 vs. .93 g's... Any car that can pull over a G... that's some hairy stuff...

I have a downpayment riding on a laser blue Elise with sport package... I've test driven a couple and ran with one... and I could not keep up at any level... and I'm a not a shabby driver!

you still have no chance, unless you lose like 800 bls.

Don't forget to post pics of your new Elise

I have the Elise, and next week I will get the S2000. I will give a full report after the S2000 is broken in

My wife and I rented an Elise in Vegas this year. It pulls much harder than the S.
Obviously in the low end. Car is very nimble and a blast to drive. Has no creature comforts whatsoever. If you think the S is hard on your butt on road trips...don't even get into a Lotus. I would take the Elise vs the S in a straight line and on a track. Won't trade my S though.
