I feel the need to interject at this point. I can't believe you all enjoy street racing. Are you all teenaghers? You are giving the s2k owners a bad image. Grow up! Have a little class.

Sev, no one was more surprised than me. As I said, I chalk it up to driver since I've seen stock automatic LS1's, driven by housewives, with the dealer plates still on, run 13.6@104 at the local strip. Doesn't mean I wasn't happy about the result though :-)
And sage, you're joking, right? You do know which forum this is, right? Anyways, welcome to the club. I'm sure the 540i owner, who had to be at least 50 and had two teens in the car was concerned about class as well when he tried me. I don't initiate, but I do finish.

Wesmaster: you can also tell the LT-1 camaro cause of the 2 holes/slits in the hood close to the windshield.. LS1 hoods are completely flat.. and in the case of the SS it is more rounded and molded looking hood scoop.. the older LT-1 SS's ram air hood looked much more squared.
also the headlights on a LT-1 are more squared. the older model firebirds didn't have the notrils in front.. the old ws6 LT-1 trans ams.. kinda looked like notrils.. but look alot different the the huge nostrils on the new LS1 firebirds hood.
