There is no such thing as a new Honda or Acura "junker". I have so much Honda pride, that I don't look at any Honda car and not think, "Wow! Thats a nice car!" If I didnt have the S, I would either have a used NSX or a new RSX-S. If I had gotten the RSX instead of the S, it would be faster than my S because I would've had so much more money to spend on mods!!! All you RSX h8rs have no Honda pride!

i just think that they are two diff class of cars.
That being said a stock Type R will take a stock RSX s cause of the weight and till this date i think the INt R vtec is the one that you feel the most once engaged.

To the guy who said he beat an RSX-S by 2 car lenghts to 95-100: dude, you either can't drive or that S was modded alot more than you think!!
The Type S is a low 15 second car...the S2k is a low 14 second car that traps around 100....you should easily have at least 5-7 cars on that bad boy by 100!!!!!!!

Coming from someone who owns both cars, they are a lot closer in performance than everyone thinks. On stock tires an RSX-S is capable of running high 14's as well as an S2000 is capable of running high 13's. Yes, that is a full second apart, but for a front wheel drive car that has 40 HP less and 11 lbs less torque that's not too shabby.
Stock for stock the RSX-S is much easier to get around town in due to the torque down low that the S2000 lacks and it's a much easier car to travel in. Not that the S2000 was designed for any of this but the RSX-S is much more practical for everyday use while the S2000 is more practical for a day at the track.
I have seen Type S's weigh as little as 2700 lbs with a full interior and make over 200WHP with just a CAI and Hondata flash #4. People have run high 13's and low 14's with those two mods. Might I add they have upgraded their tires, but you can't beat that for only $800.00 mod wise. The RSX-S is capable of making over 260 WHP NA which puts that to over 320 HP at the crank. Very nice!
When it comes down to it, you cannot really compare the two cars. They are both in a different class and were made for different purposes. You can't even really compare the S2000 and the RSX-R even though the specs are much closer between the two cars. Both are very nice cars for the money but you cannot really compare apples to oranges.
