I raced one in the turbo civic I had before I bought my s2000. Those things are pretty fast. I got a shitty launch (which is easy to do with a 1.6 liter turbo lagged sohc engine) and I stayed on his ass until he shut down. He had an intake at the time. I was very impressed. I usually walked away from integra gsr's and the like. My brother raced him in his gsr with a built head and stayed about even with him as well. I recently raced my brother though and he has more stuff now, and has since got his car dyno tuned, but I still pulled away from him in my stock S2000 (though not until 3rd gear).
7psi turbo sohc civic coupe = rsx type s w/intake = gsr with mildly built head < stock S2000
But that's just from my observations.

The RSX-S is already 23k. I think RSX-R price will be too close to S2000, if that's a case, they still need to get rid of all the left over '03, I think. May be in the future, huh?

I assume all this talk of "beating" and RSX Type-S is drag based. (strait line) On the twisties there is no contest. Stock, I would argue that the S2000 is far more Track ready than the RSX. My cousin has one, and I have driven it several times. While the K series engine may be newer and more advanced, the balance and power of the RSX are no match for the S. As always, the driver is the more important factor. IMHO, front wheel drive sucks and in completly unappealing to me in and driving situation (except snow!)

I got my RSX-S for $21989.00
and with CAI, ECU upgrade, header and exhaust.
RSX-S gets over 215hp easily at the wheel.
people usually gets 205 something Horsepower with Hondata ECU, CAI, Exhaust. (With header=add around 15 to 20 more Hp)
but I still like S2k better

Are you 13years old?? Why are you comparing S2000 to RSX-S? Of course its faster. These two cars are not even close to comparable. Given you have the exact same driver with the same driving skill...you figure out the math. Its not hard...
S2000 240hp, 2800lbs
RSX-S 200hp, 3000lbs
DUH?

i drove the RSX-S too. redline 1st and 2nd, chirped the tries, but compared to S2K, I can't even feel the push during VTEC... just feels like it doesn't go.
I'm sure it's a fast car, but it doesn't hvae much on the S

It's that flat i-VTEC that makes it so smooth into VTEC, but my friends RSX with just an intake is pretty impressive. Granted it's faster than an S, it is not much of a slouch when it comes to racing. My friend even does fairly good on the freeway, but that is without taking it near redline (only shifting at 6 0r 6 1/2, scared or driver error) and keeps up or walks a lot of modded cars in it's category.
