S2000 VS 95' - 01 trans am
Im not planning a race or anything, i was just wondering how the S2k would do against a Pontiac trans am.. not the WS6.. just the trans am. Just curious..... Any experiences?

the s2K would get spanked assuming equal driving skill. that is of course assuming we are talking sheer 1/4 mile figures. taking into account that you will not find very many bone stock LS-1 cars out there (many have at least intake/exhaust which open them up quite nicely) and it only gets worse.
i love my Formula and the bottom end it has but for hands down driving enjoyment it doesnt hold a candle to MY01!
err sorry, didnt notice the '95 in there. from introduction up until the 98 model year all F-body's were LT-1 blocked cars, only in 98 did the move go towards the LS-1 engine. still even an LT-1 equipped F-body will give an S a good run but probably wouldnt gobble it up like the LS-1 car would

first, put in a turbo... no wait, make that sc.. no..no.. better stick with nos and vafc.
aww fawk it! With all the above installed I can pretty much gaurantee the S will open a can of woop-ass on the trans am

A '95-'97 Trans Am would be a decent race in the quarter. Both run about 14.0 depending on driver, and willingness to beat up the car.
A '98+ Trans Am would run about 13.75 stock. No contest there.
At the road course, I have driven both my '97 Trans Am and My S2k at Gingerman and with some bolt-on suspension mods the T/A will handle suprisingly well. However, it also needs brakes to keep up with the S2k, and a power steering cooler is a good idea too.
