S2000 stock 00 vs Modified TypeR
Got on the freeway ramp and immediately noticed a black type R integra. Very loud, I could hear his exhuast, intake, from quite a distance. I gunned my s2000 and tryed to pull next to him and we were side by side. Suddenly he takes off and I do also but I have to stop in my lane since htere is a truck in front of me so I switch to his lane. AS soon as there is opening he pulls to the next lane and we are dead even. I'm waiting for him to gun it and we are about 70mph...He does and damn I thought the s2k engine was loud...His exhuast added to that. Well I hit it a little after he does and I'm even with him and pulling no problm. Not big pulls but I kept looking to the side and was just slowly pulling. His bumper was at my rear wheel when I let off at 102.....He kept gooing and then he let off and I gave hima thumbs up and he shook his head so good clean race 
How fast are modified Type Rs? Lucky day...The next exits ahd a motorcylce cop and a patrol car pulling people over.....Who says the S doesn't pull at high speeds If the type R guy is reading this, nice clean car man!! Sorry about the fast post gotta go to an appointment!

Who knows what that type r had, have you seen the Evo vs Type R vid on tremek.com that was a fast R... Nice kill!

Well, I dont know much about the topend on ITR's but I'd say you got lucky you won considering you had the top down. The S feels like night and day with the top down.
ITR can be pretty fast with the right mods, I think its kinda like the S you need the right mix of parts.

Yeh heard top down and up is losing some speed at 80mph+. I rarely race and vtec, I baby my s2k so this was the most action she had ever gotten The type R did get the head start and I caught up easy when i was in the 7-9k rpm range in 3rd then shift to fourth when I was even with him and start pulling. I think I would have been pulling harder if I had kept at it and let the Rpms climb to 8k-9k in 4th but at 102 is my limit for that day. The top end in ours isnt all that but she did allright. The s2k would probably pull alot harder in 1/4 mile race before 90-100mph is what I'm assuming. The s2k is def not a highway battler but she can hold her own.
