The S won, "verbally"
Yesterday, I got new tires, and the guy that helped me out was like "so, how fast is it? It's pretty quick hugh?" I replied "acutally, it's not that fast of a car, it's more geared for handling, than straight out quickness." I said a few other things and his reply was, "your car is very fast. I have 92 Mustang GT 5.0 with quite a few mods, and my buddy who has an S2000 always walks me after 1st gear." I said in very polite way that maybe his Mustang wasn't as fast as he thought it was, and then he just started saying reasons why his friend always wins after 1st gear. I had a Civic that wanted to run me for $1,000 and he was going to spot me 5 car lengths, and I know I woulda had my ass handed to me. To me, that's a fast car.
I guess I find myself more often than not, saying the S isn't that fast of car, but it sure is a blast to drive.

I'm the same way. I don't think our car is that fast. People always say "gee, that car must be really fast" and my response is usually "this car is more for real driving, you know, with corners and stuff"
