You guys must be slow ... I busted traps at 104+ mph and so did another local guy before me. Maybe you guys need to come to Florida and run at Gainesville. I understand there's a big difference between 104 and 106... I also understand there's a big difference between the 98ish mph's that I see many S2's run and anything over 100 mph. Perry (the other local guy before me) ran a 12.9 @ 110ish w/ a ZEX kit... not sure what dosage but I'm sure it was somewhere between 50-75. In addition to which 108 seems pretty anemic for the SC'ed cars. I was pulling 112+ mph at 6 psi (turbo) without too much practice. Maybe my car was just special.

I guess you have NO decent drivers on this board then.
Anyone here ran 13.6 in a stock S2K?? Calling all decent drivers!!!
I guess an excellent driver should be able to shave some time off those numbers also then. I'm guessing 13.4 or so for an excellent driver??
Do we have any excellent drivers on the board??
I'm guessing maybe we don't.
Perhaps it's more likely that there's no chance in hell a stock S can run those times or trap at that MPH.

I live near the College Park area. My car's only mods are the S/C and Neuspeed exhaust. I was surprised that the M5 couldn't pull on me. Maybe he was being nice and let me hang with him, regardless, it was a fun run. Jamboree is one crazy street where you can literally top out the S2000 in between two lights from Walnut to Barranca.
I've seen plenty of M5's in Irvine (mostly driven by white haired women - go figure) especially near Northpark and Tustin Ranch. This was the first time that one actually ran against me.
Anyway, my C32 is coming next week. So, the next M5 I encounter should provide some fun....

[B]M5s are quick, but they're also heavy as hell.

To me this seems just about right. An M5 and a SC S2K should trap at about the same speed. (107-109 range) IMO, this is more indicative of what would been seen in a race from a roll. As always of course the driver makes all the difference. In fact, I believe that the SC S2K that Motor Trend tested trapped at 108.3mph which would at least put it close to if not better than most stock M5's.
