Crusin down greenville ave, I see an RX-8 with exhuast rims and no passenger. I had my top down and a passenger. Cruisin 40mph, I got next to the RX-8, he downshifts and then i downshifted into second. We both gunned it from a 40 roll and i pull on that RX-8 by like 5 cars. Are the RX-8's that slow?

 

Yup...I like to refer to them as RX-Lates...

 

They are pretty slow. They are a good rival with the Toyota Celica GTS and the Acura RSX (integra) Type S.

Could it have been the Tiptronic version because those are wayyy slower than the 6 spd manual versions and come with only 197hp I think.

 

I dont know, maybee it was an auto. I pulled pretty hard too, didnt take me too long to pull 5+ cars on him. I did hear the Downshift though, his exhuast was pretty loud.

Anyways, none the less, I ate up an RX-8! They should have made manual only, that way, we wouldnt be so curious.

 

Nice kill... I use to love picking on Rx-8's ever since I went to the Mazda dealership when they first came out and the salesman rolled his eyes when I told him I had a honda, ever since then I take it out with all of the Rx-8 owners in the area.
