sorry for digging up an old thread but i wanted to ad that i raced my friend like 3 times with his rsx s with only a CAI and i was bone stock and every time he was dead even he had about a fender every time but that was because he was the one calling the GO!!! from like 20-30 mph roll.
the only thing i can think of is that my rpm is lower at the same speed so i have about 1k more non vtec rpms to go through befor i hit vtec.
i refuse to race from a dig because of the diff. but i wanna try a faster roll. like 40 so im almost or already in vtec and see what happens. but right now he just brags alot

I'm guessing you're starting in 2nd? Race in the right gear and you'll beat him!!! Vtec engages around 30mph in 1st gear for both AP1 and AP2. There's NO reason to start a race that far from the powerband especially in a car that is soooo weak down low.

a full bolt on +Kpro 05-06 is a tick quicker than a stock s2k, with those cars putting around 205-210whp. they need cams/EMS to make over 210whp, then they can make 230-250whp.
when i was making 227whp, i could put a solid 3 cars on a I/RH/E/Kpro 06 in my area from a roll.
they are a great car with a great motor, but they need alot fo help to get on F20/22 level.
