RSX-R VS S2000
I recently raced a 2005 RSX-R...this one supposely has 220hp stock, the guy had a full exhaust and intake...i'm stock. We did a 0-80mph and it was dead even...I'm so mad right now...i expected the s2000 would straight out win. One thing though, he did get a head start about half a car...and i didn't launch...is this normal????

Why are you so mad right now? Because 240hp is only a fraction quicker than 220hp? It's not because it's an S2000 that we can beat any other car...
It's not how the car looks or how much it costs that will determine the fastest. In the end it will all come to horsepower, torque, gears and driver! And of course a car with similar hp (ITR etc) can be expected to be able to almost keep up with the 'S'. Imagine what drivers of a Boxster S or Z4 3.0 must think about their car's after an encounter with one of ours
Over here in Belgium we have newly arrived little cars like the Renault Clio... with a NA 2L 16v producing 200hp in such a little car! Thank God for us the car is as heavy as the S2000 therefore we still are about 1 sec faster in the 0-62 and the 400m. But if they would loose some weight And those cars are only half the price of the S... But it's no sportscar, no vert, no rwd, it's just a fast hot hatch like the GTI. And if you're not paying attention they will keep up
As other people said over here lately, 200+ hp is very common, so the S has more opponents in or below it's price range. But the S is so much more then just a fast car

Well if this was the RSX-R with 220 hp then im actually supprised it was even...You said he has I/E which add's wonderful hp #'s for a N/A 2.0L (K series for ya) Im guessing he gained 15-20 Whp from the two putting him probaly around 250 or so Crank HP. And given that he's FWD, less drivetrain HP loss..he's probaly just making more power then you in a lighter car...AND you didn't launch hard...to me it sounds like maybe he should've pulled
