Road and Track SC S2000

I was told that most drag strips don't allow softtop convertibles (that can possibly run 12s) to run without proper 4pt cage, is that true? Since you have a hard top, it shouldn't be an issue, I guess.
If my car gets fixed (fixing upgraded 3.46 diff) and get it back by Friday, I am planning on swinging by the AllSportGT Go-Kart racing scene. I think a LOT of S2000 guys will be there. I have a feeling that there will be some runs as well, but who knows (the streets around there are quite empty)? Regardless of that, maybe you want to swing by?

I just got the mag today and to be fair, I think they said something about its trap speed being like 6 mph faster, but only when the power comes in at half track. Traction problems anyone?

There are key point in the article in why the Vortec S2000 ran such a sh*tty time. They mentioned that they launch 1000 rpms lower than their previous stock S2000 runs. AND!!! They were running 18 inch Racing hart 3-peice M5 ( they looked like M5's spinning )
Those weigh MORE THAN 32 lbs. Double the weight of the stock 16 inch set up.....and the driver can't drag!
