Ran a freakin Turbo Tercel tonight!! Saab 9-3 vs Turbo Tercel
I was just on the freeway, and this Tercel was on my ass, so I kinda sped up thinking he'd back off. Well, after I gained some distance, I exited but he was right there with me again.
I make a right turn and he follows and gets right next to me. So I see that he's down to play and I gun it around 50 mph. Well, I see that I'm not pulling away, but I see him in my side view mirror and he's SLIGHTLY pulling on me . I was thinking how the hell a tercel is pulling, so I definitely thought turbo. I stopped around 100 mph and I think he was around my rear door or so. Not sure if he was still pulling, but I'm sure he was.
I tell him to slow down and we get on a straight two-lane road. We ran from a dead stop and both launched on my third honk. I get a jump on him, spun a bit (as did he) and run up to about 80 or so and I'm ahead by about 1/2 car. We were basically even, and I'm sure he was pulling on me slightly, just like the first race. Couldn't see him cuz he was in my blind spot.
We talked and he's only 1 of 4 people in So Cal with a turbo in a Tercel. A CT9 turbo I think, from a old Toyota Starlet, and he was boosting 8psi. He had a passenger, and I was by myself. HUGE sleeper. None of that crazy wing crap. All in all, this was the most fun race I've ever had. These guys were really cool.

gotta love the sleeper...my buddy just got his turbo beetle modded with a K04 setup(i think) from neuspeed. This car is FAST for a beetle. Some clown in a mustang GT tried to run him the other day...big mistake...a turbo tercel, though, that is a real sleeper.

turbo tercel?!? that's hilarious... total sleeper. i like it. the worst i ever got smoked was by a vega. not just any vega but a brown notchback vega with half moon hubcaps. three of us at a light - my BRE L18 SSS 510 (i thought i was hot shit) a Mazda RX3SP and this damn vega. turned out to be an LT-1 Vega with the narrowed rear end and all...
fun, but embarassing too :-)

I was driving on the 10 last week on Thursday. I see a lowered 90-93 Integra with a goddamn Intercooler, he drives by me, lets off the gas, and makes it quite obvious. Too much traffic, but I gave him a thumbs up anyway
