Default Ran an E36 M3!

I stopped at the gas station and talked to the guy for a while. (he just happened to be there when I stopped to get gas) I left and he followed, I slowed down and waited for him in the right lane. He pulled up beside me and I dropped 3rd at around 65. He got into 3rd and I gave 3 honks and we both throttled at the same time. I could run to the top of 3rd and part of 4th to around 90-95 or so but I got maybe half a car on him in 3rd and put another on him in the 1500 RPS's or so I spent in 4th.

Not much of a race... 60-95. That's basically 3rd gear and a tiny bit of 4th. Run one from a stop or even from 55mph dump into 2nd past 110+ it'll be a drivers race if both are Bone Stock. I've beaten E36's in the S2000 before.

Nice run! Seemed like you kept pulling. So the '04 S is that strong, huh?

Just noticed you have an 04. Nice! They pull 3 car lengths on the 00-03's supposedly? I wonder the outcome from 0-100 dead stop same E36.

Yeah I have driven bothe the pre 04's and the 04 obviously and it is my opinion that as mine has gotten broken in it is the faster of the 2. It wasn't when it had only 1,000 miles on the clock or so. But, to answer the question, I was still pulling a lot in 4th. It surprised me a little.

cool race you pulled a car in just one gear which is great
a longer race would have been better though

I could only run the guy so far, there was a car in front of me! BTW though this guy was at the Brawl at the Mall autocross taday, and he was and absolutely flawless driver.... he ran better times than all the SM class cars and he was BS class. He took me for a ride, and man can that guy drive!
