I must say guys a win is a win and congrats on beating that LS1.
Note though that I timed the races from the time I heard the tires squeeling to the time I saw brake lights and they were about 7-8 seconds. That isn't enough time for the stronger car to show its strength. Even a well launched Civic Si might be able to hang with you two on that distance. That doesn't even look like a 1/8th mile to me especially since it takes the s2k 9 seconds + to run the 1/8th and this was less then that. That was more of a launching race than anything else.
There is a reason people use a 1/4 mile as THE comparison measure, it involves driver and gives a chance to the car to show its potential as well. This usually happens at about the last 1/4 of the 1/4 mile. The faster car will be traveling faster by this point regardless of the drivers launching mistakes...
However, you did beat the guy over that distance, well done.
