Raced a Pontiac Firehawk this week
I was cruising along enjoying one of the nice warm day we had this week with the top down. All of a sudden a maroon Pontiac Firehawk with gold wheels pulls up beside me revving the engine doing about 30 mph. Then he pulls up some revving the engine like he wanted to race and I revved back too. I was still in 1st gear so I was going to try him even though I knew the Firehawk was suppose to be really fast. Then he just took off with about a half a car length on me. I redlined to 1st when I saw the dash flash and and started to pull up to his side. Once I threw it into 2nd gear to redline I started to pull away easily. I don't know if a car got into his way or what because I kept my eyes on the traffic up ahead of me. As soon as I threw it into 3rd gear and looked back, I had about 5 car lengths on the Firehawk. I had to shut her down though just as soon as I put it into 3rd for a car in front of me that didn't know where he was going. The guy pulled up beside me rolling by as the traffic slowed in front of me for the light up ahead and said wow that thing pops. His young son was grinning ear to ear. Then all of the sudden he mashes on the gas and the Firehawk started to smoke the tires as he drives away. Then I noticed the guy had Disabled tags on his Firehawk.

Well that's pretty cool and all but it's too bad he didn't really race you. If he did all you would have seen was tail lights.
I raced my friend who has one and through first and second it was pretty even but when he shifted to third it was all over. He wasn't even a good driver and at that time he had not had his car for very long. It was fun though.

lol, I like that lightning pic
Beleive it or not I actually hung with a Firehawk at 125+ (barely)
But you know why? At 80mph he pulled in front so I drafted and hung to about 130 . . .
He must not have undetstood why I kept up cus he didnt want to run again. I could actually Feel the air drag change, he cut in pretty close.
