Corey...Thats sweet, yeah I have seen quite a few people go from the 264's to the 272's and are a lot happier...I love my 269's Now I just ned WORKS to finish their water/alky kit

It could be an 03/04 here is my best example. One night we messed with a Firebird Formula in the Evo, I pulled him pretty hard at any speed, next night we were out in the Z06 and messed with him again, this time he stayed much closer to us only because the damn Z would just spin. If you didnt know it you would think the Evo was faster, but the Z06 pulls on our Evo pretty hard once it gets traction, so who knows maybe he spun for a while.

Yeah....I'm happy with the 264's. My buddy is selling his car and asked if I wanted his cams. He wanted $400 for them with about 3,000 miles on them. He needed a few stock parts from me to put his car back to stock. All the parts I sold him cost him $125, in turn took the price of the cams down to $275. I sold my cams for $300 to a good buddy. So I actually made $25 on th deal and I can put that to the install.

LOL...I love these stories, I have an M3 and I get spanked if the Cobra has any mods at all and generally lose to them even when stock. I will concede the 03+ has serious traction issues with stock tires but most switch to DR's which help alot. He should have knocked you off of the road while fishtailing past you. No offense man but my Cobra trapped at 114mph STOCK (121mph with a couple grand in it) and the best I ever got out of my S when it was stock was right at 101mph (115mph with $10K worth of turbo)...that's a HUGE difference. A mildly supercharged S2000 would probably get eaten up by a well driven stock 03+ Cobra. They're just fast ass cars...they are so much quicker than an S they don't even need to be driven well to win.

I agree totally with you. I never could find a stock 03 cobra to play with when I had my old setup, it would have been fun .

97 Cobras are a lot different than the 03/04s.

so are we talking about the factory supercharged ones, or the NA ones with 320 hp? it would make more sense if it was a 99-02.

No such thing as an 00, or 02 Cobra..

99, 01, 03, 04...skip a few years and out come the 07 gt500's.

derryck ...I totally agree with you, but if I was to say that I'd get flamed because people think I have a grudge against S2K's

Way I look at it is our Z06 and a Cobra would be a good run, and no way in hell is a non FI S2K gonna stay close to it. Maybe off the line if we spin for a bit, but once we get traction it would pull like the S was in reverse.
