0-60mph for a Honda Goldwing is 4.1 seconds. That's a heavy touring bike. I would have to say that just about any decent bike should take the S off the line. If the OP left the stop "very easy," I'm guessing the guy on the bike wasn't trying.
Hell, my 20 year old Nighthawk had a 3.6 second 0-60 and wasn't even a crotch rocket.

Actually a S2K could probably keep up if not beat the above pictured bike in higher speeds, that bike appears to be a smaller bike, maybe a 250cc ish?
BTW, I much prefer a S2K compared any street bike I owned. On the track, bikes seem to be more fun though.

Bike above is a TZ250. But, you will never see one on the road. And for some reason I doubt that S2K will beat a hand built GP two-stroke on the track either. I suck as a rider, but finished middle of BSB WERA novice race against 600's and 750's on it.

Ninja 500R is not new. It's been around forever.
Of course an S2000 will leave a 250cc bike at over 100. The 250 will have a hard time even reaching 100.
No bikes, pretty much, will have any trouble with an S and certainly not in acceleration.

TZ250 (250cc) has about 150 - 170 top speed. Weights 260 pounds and around 80hp. You do the math.
