Let's see if I get this straight .............................
You in your own AP1 vs AP2 -- you won.
You in the other guy's AP2 vs the other guy in your AP1 -- you won.

What does this prove again?
it proves that he is a better driver than the other guy. ether the other guy has no idea what he is doing or he was sleeping both times.

either way

Of course, the AP1 has 15K km, and who knows what type/shape tires each car had. It's entertaining, but doesn't really prove anything.

I don't know about you guys... but it was still funny to see that guy in the AP2 cut off the red AP1 on that one turn by taking the straight instead of the turn... lol.

That ap2 has the ap1 engine though. It is a japanese spec. It does seem to handle better though.

Japanese AP2 still a 2.0L engine so it is not quite the same.

THe 04/05 AP2s in Japan practically is an AP1 in the drivetrain department, and is an AP2 in the suspension department -- it's a hybrid, or AP1.5

Ask "koala" in Prairie Redliners. He's owned an AP1, drag raced it and now owns an AP2.

the race would have a different out come in the us.if you watch or just know the jap s2000 was still using the 2.0 not the 2.2.having to shift more/earlier might have slowed the new car down.also the ap2 has a shorter gear ratio.
