Raced a 225hp Audi TT... Not impressed..

The big difference between S2000 & Audi TT is weight. About 600 lbs. It is a 6 sec. 0-060 car at best. Those things can be modified to about 275-280 cheaply, with no problems, but that is the only way they can even come close to the S2000. The interior is way nicer, but this is a true cruiser, not a bruiser.

I've raced one on the freeway. We started at about 75mph. I thought he was going to be even with me, but to my surprise I pulled on him. I had about 4-5 cars when I let off at about 125mph. It was the 225 hp one (dual exhaust).

Just want to ask you guys a question,
I went to an auto show last year and wandered over to check out the TT (IMHO it looks really nice). The rep came over and asked what I drive. When I mentioned S2000 he got somewhat aggressive and says the S2000 is slightly faster on the straight but the TT is much faster in the twisties (because of Quattro). So that if we both go to a track or to the mountain, I would loose.
Does anyone has any info on track time of the TT225? Would the S2000 lose in the twisties (of course with equal driver in both cars)?

S2000 would destroy a 225 TT in the twisties.
The TT has a suspension setup that is way softer and is more of a cruiser than a racer.
Also the TT is significantly heavier.

"Sports Auto" magazine took both to a track and here are the lap times:
- S2000 = 1:18.8
- TT (225) = 1:21.3
Also, it's not close in the straighline acceleration. Figures fcrom the same article (S2000 vs TT):
0-100kph = 6.2 vs 6.9
0-160kph = 14.8 vs 17.0
0-200kph = 24.5 vs 31.3
