Considering you probably have a 1sec jump, on top of that, 2nd gear in your car is ok. Your car only have a few thousand rpms before redline, the APII just entered the VTEC. Sounds like fair run.

If you can barely out run AP2 by 1 or 2 car, I am sorry to tell you. That is hardly impressive. Add a 150shot, then go and challenge some of the fast modded S2Ks. Select carefully, there are some beast out there.
Dude, I started the run at like 1500rpm. He was buzzing along in 1st at 15mph. Had the race been even I would have torn him to pieces, think about 5 cars 20-100. My 5.0 was DEAD EVEN with 350Z's and S2K's. Bogging my WS6 in 3rd from a 50mph punch I pulled my dad in the 5.0 (starting at 4K rpm at the perfect mid-range in its powerband (right between max tq and peak hp) by about 3 cars 50-100. Besides, someone on your bumper is NOT! A! RACE! imho.

The WS6 has 17" rims, a ram-air induction, badges, bigger sway bar, maybe better shocks, depending. Oh, a freeer flowing exhaust.

WS6=Trans Am in any and all performance aspects except looks. Don't let the hood fool you. Its the same thing.

Nice

Keep in mind even in 1500rpm, your WS6 with should already have 300rwtq, you only have 4500rpm or less to go until redline. Regardless the stock AP2 will lose anyway.

Lol, after you are rolling its about hp. We all know that. A roll race is about hp/weight. That is why an S2000 can trap the same as a 99-04 GT. It sure doesnt out tq it!!! It out-hp's it.

Here is a dyno graph of a stock LS1 for you. See how little hp I have at 1500 rpm? Also figure that I am in 2nd and its a lot harder to wind out 2nd than it is for him to wind out first. The point is, a stock AP2 wont touch me unless it can put multiple lengths on a stock Z and hang with LS2 M6 GTO's. I think I stated this before. I dont think anyone has run an 06 6-speed GTO from 70-120 and lost by only 1-2 cars (I lost by 1/2 car but he gave me a 1/2 car hit, so my momentum was worth maybe 1/2 cars more I guess).

Anyways, here is a stock 6-speed dyno with 118K miles on the car and a removed air filter. The one in it was dirty as sin and removing it gained the guy 10whp. (this graph is with it removed. )

(2000 WS6 6-speed, 118K miles...for the record a WS6 wont lay down any more than a Z28 or a regular TA and the C5 vette' usually lays down 10whp less due to IRS, all factory ratings on these cars are BS except the vette's, 345 is about what it makes at the fly, they under-rated the F-bodies).

Here is another dyno of a 6-speed 2001 z28 with 51K miles on it.
