When I had my civic Si (2000) I had it looking just like the black civics in fast and furious. I took pride in my car, and of course raced when I could. There is a guy around where I live that has a black TSi that is modded and fast. I had raced him twice in my Si, and I'd be even with him until his turbo really kicked in, and he'd easily hand me my butt.

Well I ran into my little friend tonite on my way home. Same stop light. Same car. Bring it. I rev, eager with the chance to run him again. He revs back and gives me a nod. The roads are wet, but not that bad. (besides, I have noticed these Potenza S03's are great on wet roads) Green light. He gets a small jump on me as expected. (AWD right?) But I hit VTEC bliss and pull even with him. Shifting gears, he has some lag after shifting to 2nd it seems, and my vtec 2nd walks him some more. As I go into 3rd, he is now falling into the view of my rear view. I let off, and sure enough... loser fly-by. Anyways. Payback is a beautiful thing.

I do race fairly often. There are plenty of kids around here who thinks their cars are the $hit. Not very many are modded. Though some are. And the local cruising strip here draws thousands of cars a night, so it's easy to find races. And in the area I live in, again a lot of kids think they are the shiznit... cuz mommy and daddy bought them their integra, mustang, etc. Oh yeah, and I sometimes am looking for trouble which always helps.
