Default Not going to waste my time on anymore RSX-S drags!!!!

Last week I had my S2K in Phx. (love sea level) and I had my 80 year old Dad in my car for the first time and when I first Vtec'ed it he wanted me to take him home...then we pull up to a stoplight and I am not paying attention as a Suburban was alongside me but low and behold on the otherside lurked the RSX-S because when the light turned green he dropped his clutch and "sucker jumped" me! I jammed on it with my old Dad in the car and absolutely reeled it in and spit it out no problem! No contest! And yes, the RSX was a stick cause when he banged 2nd he got rubber. I know it's no big deal to whip the Acura but I thought I would post a race with a semi-comp car( pwr to weight) rather than all the folks who brag when there 400 HP V8's beat a S2K. ps. May dad said the last time he street raced was in his 1945 Buick Conv.

You had any runins with a 350Z? Let me know! I've tried but no takers yet.

Ya don't waste your time with the RSX. Unless it is heavily modded they're no competition for you guys.

Watch out Phil, there are more and more RSX-Ss out there with the power it takes to run an S2K. Intake, exhaust, Hondata flash are good for 25-30 hp, putting them right on our tails. Comptech race header and RSX-R cams will put them well above what a stock S2000 makes. The first 3 mods you can do for a little over $1000, the last two, another $1500. Stock they're not a challenge, but that's no surprise as they weigh the same as us, but make 40 hp less.

Oh, and Phoenix is not sea level my friend :-). It may seem like it coming from the highlands of NM, but its actually 1200-1300 ft above sea level. I visit there frequently and it sucks compared to real sea level :-)

SKMAJBS-I have not had the opportunity to run a Z yet and can't wait! I think it will be a drivers race and I think my 5500 elevation will be in my favor.

UL-I always read your stuff and wish your shop was here! Where I raced the Acura was close to 1000ft-compared to here my S2000 felt like you dyno tuned it! I can't wait until I can get my baby to Cal. where real sea level and dense air would really make it all happen! I had so much fun with all the extra power in Phx. my car feels anemic up here (I live at 6400ft in the Rio Rancho desert) I do know the RSX's can be fast when modded but this one I didn't see the tell tale fat pipe-looked stock, but I was suprised to reel him in so easily when he jumed on me by 2 car lenghts

I beat RSX type s manual with my V6 Accord Coupe from a dead stop this past summer. Kid was neck and neck with me for about 10 seconds...then i just left him. S2000 wipes the floor with those things.

I've seen an RSX-S trap 101 at the track. I've also seen a different one trap 93. The one that trapped 93 was riced out. The one that trapped 101 looked stock.

RSX-S IS STILL A GREAT CAR, JUST A LITTLE OUTCLASSED BY IT'S BIG BRO BUT I'M SURE IT KICKS THE S__T OUT OF A LOT OF FAIR COMPITITION AND AS UL KNOWS-THE NEXT ONE MAY BLOW ME OFF AND DROP MY JAW!
