Wes, I think the ring and pinion are 10 and 43 teeth giving a 4.30 ratio. To get 4.33 you would have to use 9 and 39 (not available.)

I have a new J's racing catalogue and it lists the gears as 4.777, 4.444 and 4.3. So, in all fairness to knowledge, I asked Mingster to count the teeth on the 4.3 set he has. What ever he says is what is............drum roll.......to be continued.

Hmm, this page says 4.30 as well, not sure where I got 4.33 from.

Mingster says the ring gear is 43 teeth so the ratio is 4.300. Actually, the difference between 4.300 and 4.333 is less than one mph at 100 mph.

The top speed will be way off on the dyno because of lower load and virtually no wind resistance.

Holy cow!! 169 MPH!!!!

The fastest I've gone is 128 MPH (205 Km/h) in my 2000 Civic SiR and that was just about enough for me! It's the only time I've been over 200 km/h (125) and the last...

Well... we'll see after I buy my S, the thing is the Civic barely manages 205 km/h.

Good job, Wes!
