MY06 vs 06 Mustang GT
Went to the local track last night (Englishtown, NJ) to make a few funs with my 06 S2K. I'm bone stock and I have an empty 12-pack box of condoms in the trunk for added traction...
Here are the results... (my time on left column)
---MY06 vs 06 Mustang GT--- (VSA on... forgot to turn it off and it hurt me)
R/T 0.547 0.221
60' 2.33 2.244
1/4 14.88 14.621
MPH 96.13 95.14
---MY06 vs 06 Mustang GT--- (Ended up racing him again... VSA off this time)
R/T 0.528 0.628
60' 2.239 2.307
1/4 14.569 14.794
MPH 97.48 95.15
---MY06 vs Old Chevy Monte Carlo--- (VSA off)
R/T 0.491 0.859
60' 2.233 2.998
1/4 14.519 18.359
MPH 97.84 79.33
VSA ON is such a bad thing... first run I felt the VSA letting off the throttle on the launch.
VSA OFF... there was no wheel spin what so ever and it launched hard... much harder than when it was on.
Weather conditions were... 77 degrees with 68% humidity.
Lauched all 3 times from 5500 RPM. My last run I tried launching from 6000 RPM, but just as the yellow lights were going, I don't know what I did, but it dropped back down to 5500 RPM.
Either way... it felt really good trapping at higher speeds than the 300-hp Mustang. I'm sure I made him feel like crap knowing that a 4-cyl trapped higher than his 8-cyl...

Not sure what the elevation is... I'll google it to see if I find it. I know the S2K can do better but that was my first time ever at the track with any car. With practice I'm sure the time will come down.

I overheard people talking there and it seems like everyone was running slower times last night. I few people came to ask if I was running slower than usual but I couldn't answer since it was my first time, but everyone else was running slow too.
There was an EVO 9 MR there that ran a 14.111 and a 14.21... they should be way quicker than that.

Humidity can hurt, but if you got your 60' down to 2.0 then you would most likely have a low 14 sec or high 13 sec pass on your hands. As far as the evo goes....sounds like crappy driving to be honest with you.
