I found this in another thread. The 0.36 is with the top UP. With the top down, I've seen 0.42 to 0.45.

.36 is not bad....my Evo has freakin .38 or somethin. it's a freakin brick.

i always thought the s2k was more like .33 with top up. i know the z33 coupe has somethin like .30, and the Vettes has like .29.

the new Lexus LS sedan has a Cd of .28 or somethin, truly an engineering marvel (sorry a bit off topic)

Yesterday coming home from work, I got into my spirited driving on the highway like I usually do to escape the work thinking before getting home and this accord V6 just comes out of no where and starts tailing me. Without any organization, I just take off and I think he was waiting cause there was no hestitation on his part when I took off... anyway... I thought I'd pull a lot harder than I did but I didn't. I was inching farther from him very slowly.

So then I get behind him so that I could get a better perception of how much I'm pulling on him but he wouldn't bite, so I take off past him and he starts tailing me again but I couldn't shake him too much until I'd get into the turns.

Has anyone else encountered these guys yet and could shimmey in with their thoughts?

Andre
I used to own one (03 V6) That car was very surprising. S2k is faster and more fun, but damn that car goes

Umm... I think we missed one important thing here: TORQUE. My lawnmower has more torque than the S. 3.0L vs. 2.2L, I don't see how the 2.2L would have more torque. Very important in a rolling start, and the reason why the S wasn't really pulling on the Accord.

Torque doesn't have as much to do with it as you would think, there are several factors. Torque would have more of an impact from a dig as it would help you overcome inertia a lot easier. The plain fact is the hp is high enough in that car and the cd is low enough to help it stay close, but not quite up to the speed of the S.

actually hp is what pulls you once your moving, tq is what pushes you out of the hole.

or i might have that backwards.

no, you are correct. Torque is rotational force and helps most from a dig. The higher the torque the easier you will be able to overcome inertia. And as everyone knows, if torque is very high, and your foot too heavy, you bake your tires.
