MY06 vs 06 Accord V6
#21
I own a v6 6spd. not faster than a s2k but pretty damn fast. i think low low 14's or definately possible w/ a good launch which is tricky w/ the tq numbers. i think if i get you off the line you'd have a hell of a time catching up. but i havent tested that theory yet.

Let's look at the basics here... both cars have roughly the same power and the S2000 is at least 400 pounds lighter... do the math. The S2000 is superior.
Oh yeah, A stock V-6 Accord cannot hit 13's stock. The best documented time I have seen is a high 14.2.

A really good driver that's able to pull a 14.2 in a V6 manual Accord vs a average driver in a S and the S driver will be surprised. About the same hp but more tq for the Accord, S still have the advantage but we're talking about a street race and everyone know how that goes.

those 6 speed manual v6's can't be taken lightly... especially if you don't think you'll loose... imagine what the guy said to his friends when he kept up with you...
I know they shouldn't taken lightly, but either way, he wouldn't have been able to pull in front, so it's all good.

My girlfriend has a 05 V6 Accord Coupe it's quick, not fast. I remember reading some reviews when she was shopping for it and the M/T is significantly faster than the auto. She has the automatic transmission and it short shifts through the first two gears (at least) at around 6400-6500. If they fixed this and gave it some more aggressive gearing (~2100 RPM @ 70MPH). The coupe only weighs around 3300lbs and does have good aerodynamics (.29 Cd)

damn .29 Cd? that's better than the s2000....
didnt know the accord coupes were this quick on the highway, will have to be more careful with them next time
i'd still take a g35 over the accord v6 coupe though...rwd ftw IMHO.

My pre-purchase notes show the MY04 as .36 from a spec sheet somewhere.
As information, the drag coefficient for other roadsters is as follows: Z4 = .35, the 350Z = .34, the Boxster =.31, and the Miata =.38.
