Are you shifting at redline?
Did you downshift to get into VTEC when you took off?

My boss has a MY06 Accord V6 as his DD (he's got a Mustang as his fun car)...we went from a stop and I did not launch. He stayed close through most of 1st, then he had to shift. At that point I pulled and kept pulling to about 80mph.

From what I heard, the accord MT v6 can actually hit high 13's on the quarter mile with a good driver. Did it have a red v6 badge?

I have a S2000 and a 03 Accord V6 AT (7th gen). Definitely the S2000 is faster but I don't think you could "smoke" the AV6 easily...

But handling is totally different story.. I feel like drivng a boat in the Accord all the time. Sometimes I feel sea sick afterwards

Like VisionJDM said, on the hwy them Accord pulls pretty good. Not enough to beat a stock S but still better than what you'll think, all cars aren't the same so that alone can and will determine how the race will ends.

A fellow co-worker has a V6 manual Accord, probably an 04 or 05. Another co-worker has an 06 Si. Somehow they have gradually gravitated to where I park. We all have silver cars. OF course, each of us thinks we can take the other 2. I have played around with the Si a few times, but not the accord yet. I have been curious about their abilities. I suspected it might be reasonably quick.
