Default MY02 VS 02-03VETTE

driving home on the palisades pkwy NB top down (windows up - getting windy/cold.. i'm a wuss), i see headligts pulling up on my FAST.. iwas like cool this could be my first real run.. as he pull closer i see its a vette.. he pull next to me.. aw shit.. my first run has to be with a brute v8 (me totally stock) he revs and smiles.. i give a nod.. right lane was kind of crowded so he pulls back behind.. i have a stretch, so i downshift to 3rd at 60 mph and stomp it to see if he really wants to play.. he thinking the same but got a late jump so i had about 3 cars on him.. so we finally get side by side with some room in front and a bunch of cars behind us.. we slow down traffic to about 30ish.. ppl start hinking us.. he gives the nod and we go.. he immediately takes about 2 cars. i was only at around 4500 rpm, so i felt like i got a sluggish start until i reached vtec.. i made good shifts up to 3rd, but by that time he had about 5 cars on me.. i'm around 95mph.. we shut down he gives me the as he exits.. i wave and am on my way.. in all, i felt good finally running something but then also felt i could have got a better jump (even though the outcome pobably would have been the same).. just makes me want some kind of FI..
outcome sound about right? or did i just to a crappy job
got womped but it's all good when you have cool drivers..
thanks for the read..

Yip, you will get pulled pretty good by newer vettes, unless you are like WisconsinS2k and happen upon a complete idiot that cant shift. Nice death though

yup @4500 you are way too low. 30mph is not a good speed for the S. Next time, bring it up to around 45-50mph (in second gear) and the S will perform better. And stay away from vettes unless ur fI!

yeah.. that vette was f'in loud.. i could bearly hear my vtec kick when he took off.. but i'll do it again.. but be a little smarter with my start speed!!
