i don't think he was racing. the s2000 was at WOT and that M5 was just cruising.

that was race number 3 from 85-130 how was he just cruising?

Believe me he was giving us thumbs up and looking at the camera the whole time, I may have got the jump but he was deffinately WOT. No one cruises at 130 and then hits their brakes for no reason. Thanks for your reply though.

Honestly. M5 was most likely pacing you.

Stock they are low 13's, but the 400 hp V8 would enable the M5 to walk away at the speeds you described.

90-130 just isn't in your favor. Top speed on the M5 is limited to 155, a basic stage 1 chip removes top speed limiter, tweak fuel curve, etc. 180 would be no problem.

On top of this, M5 responds to mods very well. Just letting you know.

I've driven an m5 and let me tell you he could have easily torn you apart. Either he stayed in a higher gear or he didn't know how to drive his car. Trust me, as much as I love the S it is no match for an M5 especially with the mods and the weight you were carrying.

It says in the manual that the S can only carry 400lbs. What were you doing with with close to 500lbs?

no kiddin'.... SSSSUUUUU'WEEEEEEE... HEEEERRRE PIGGY PIGGY piggy!!!! (Sorry... my parents made me watch "Green Acres" when I was a kid!)

As for the vid... he could have a factory freak- the M5 could have been in the wrong gear... or he could have mis-shifted... but use common sense guys- the driver of the M5 was not "pacing", nor was he not WOT...

...Who in their right mind runs with someone 3 times all the way up to 130 while just pacing...

IMO- the S may be a factory freak, just as the M5 could be a factory reject- combined with chitty driving...

....Leave magazine racing to the 15year olds with learning permits, Ya'll!

Maybe I didn't follow the write up close enough.

He raced three times, similiar results each time.

Driver in the M5 sucked. Simple as that.

I guess this is no different than me maintaining distance on a 2003 SVT Cobra from 45 - 115, him not passing me until 120. (04 M3)

This video is an embarassment to the S2000 community.
