Rolling down I-40 on my way home from work nearing my exit, not quite time to merge over from the fast lane but then I see an EVO VIII cruise by in the slow lane. So I decide to go ahead and merge over and I get behind him. Initially I had no intentions of a race but next thing I know he gets on it, so quickly I decide... "why not". Ive always wanted to run an EVO, especially from a roll on the highway and here was my first chance. I drop it in 4th around 70 and he is pulling slightly, then I realize I need to be in 3rd so drop it another gear and his momentum stopped and I slowly started inching back in. But by this point in time the exit ramp was nearing so we both slow down. I THINK he had an aftermarket exhaust as it appeared to be SS. Car sounded tight at WOT too. I was proud of my baby, shes got almost 100k on her and still has it in her. Its past due time for a beater, I suppose being that most of the mileage on her is HWY miles it hasnt worn her down as much as normal.
