I have both cars, a 2001 s2k and a 2002 rsx-s.
You pimp! S2000 and Type S.
Btw this is Dtongkas.
I've been thinking. I don't know if I should dump a lot of money into my car (get differential and turbo kit)
Or keep it simple (intake, headers, exhaust, maybe hondata).
Or do nothing, save my money and get a s2000....lol

You need to supercharge your car, purchase a 25psi pulley, add a Venom nitrous kit with a 4000-6500rpm window switch and 150shot jetting, and go back and run him.
YOu might need a trailer at the end of it, though.

I own both an MY04 and a 02' RSX Type S. I surely can say that the K20a2 engine responds much, much better to mods than a F20C. I would've been much happier with a K20 engine in MY04 than the F22C.
K20 engines with I/H/E, Hondata #4 and ITR cams and manifold will dyno 212-215 and the wheels (this has been done many times at clubrsx.com) Total cost of mods=$2700 aprox. that set-up will absolutly destroy any stock or midly modified S2000.

I don't know about destroying an S2000, but based on my trap speeds I think I would take one. I consistently trap in the 1/4 101-102 mph. This is on my heavy 17" wheels and crappy tires. I haven't run with my stock 16" wheels in a while, but I generally trap a little over 1 mph faster with them on. I get so much wheel spin on my 1-2 shift that my front end slides sideways (a little), so with drag radials (or at least sticky street tires) I would think I could improve a little more.

maybe if you add ITR cams, ITR mainfold, hondata gasket, etc...you'd be in the 215 range.

I think your right. Probably would need cams to get 210+ hp with a reflash. TODA claims 229 hp with their N2 cams, and most believe the Type R cams are around 10 hp or so less than the N2 cams.
Of course with K-Pro, you may be able to tune a car to around 210 hp without cams. It certainly helps to be able to custom tune to your mods as opposed to using a generic reflash.

I have yet to see a dyno on clubrsx with a I/H/E/H-4 RSX putting down 212-215whp. From my first hand experice with my RSX and my buddies RSX's those mods are good for around 200-205whp.

I don't get all of you peoples answers. The S usually puts down about 200hp for the normal car with few around my area that I have seen with 195hp. So if the type s puts down 220 and has a slight increase in torque to match then the car would be almost even. Hence the half car lead. The car is most importantly heavier so even with the gain you close the gap averall. Nice race man and I have had similar results with a friend close by only we stayed even but then I have simple mods as well.

Hi all
I used to own an 02 type-s with cold air/catback/motor mounts and weight reduction. It could go and thought i could take a stock s2k, but no way. I know my s2k is more stronger and way more fun to drive.
