Luckily, I think they have more sense and understand what the design and mechanical ethos was behind the car in the first place.
True, but you can't deny that the original poster also enjoys his car, whether he's going straight or around the bends. I would imagine many S2K owners have yet to take their cars to auto-X events or any road courses, but I would bet anything that they still enjoy the moment that comes with pushing that little red button.

I still call bs on that LS1 from a roll... Anyone with me?
we all know the other driver wasn't racing or it wasn't an LS1, so it is moot. Gets tiring always pointing it out when people post obvious BS kills. I mean, you'd think that when a car has an advantage of at least 100 hp, fools wouldn't be posting around about beating them, but they do

Don't know about you guys, but I'm anxiously awaiting "My Noob Encounters, Volume 3: Return of the Lot Prowler".

wow, i guess you guys really can't drive then. there was nothing tricky about it (ever heard of power/weight ratios?) we were already goin 50 and i just dropped to 3rd and mashed the pedal. now i know who i'm dealing with, noobs.

btw yellows2k, 12 ppd in 3 months, u must talk a lot of shyt. if anyone wants to see how dumb he is, check out what he says about the SL55 in my first thread, LOL!

I've heard of power to weight ratios. I'm not sure what you are meaning here, because an LS1 Camaro has a better power to weight ratio than an S2000, in addition to that extra 100 horsepower. On top of that, running from a roll is taking away any advantage you might have had on the launch. Sure, 50 might be a dead spot on an auto LS1, but you'd get blown of the road by 60.

except that's not what happened. furthermore the ls1 has 70 more hp stock and weighs 3386lbs. i don't see y u would assume i'm lying when i admitted defeat to the mustang. u guys need to get out there and race more.

Is this the same LS1 in the 04 GTO? Cuz I can tell you in my NA form 60 - 120 means about 3 cars on me and the GTo is a touch over 3700 lbs. However, I have ran a Camaro SS before and hung with it, so I'm thinking it is a different engine. Although, everyone told me the SS probably wasn't all the way rolled into the throttle.

Other than that sounds like good old fashion fun.

this is the same ls1 shared by the camaro/trans, gto, and 04 vette', but there are different levels of restriction in each car. maybe the ls1 i raced was auto, but it still didn't pull a hair.
