Sounds at least like it was an exciting race. I haven't gotten to race many srts, but I haven't lost to one in my 01. I have noticed they are a lot like the s2k in the way that some just seem faster then others for no reason. All you can do is work on your shift points and timing. One thing I personally find hard is actually using all 9,000 rpms before shifting. I tend to shift early and not use the cars full potential. Not sure if thats a problem for you.

Ahh, don't worry about that. You missed third, right? Otherwise it would have been a different outcome. Besides, no matter what is under the hood, or how much respect it deserves...its still a shitbox Neon that most likely handles like a tank (if it was a stock suspension).

You drive true sports car, and I could go home happy just knowing that.
1. your car AINT a NEON (see above post i agree with)
2. See #1
3. Your car is convertible
4. See #1 again
5. You just have to learn how to drive/shift/launch
6. See #1 yet again
7. Get a CAI and test pipe, whup him even better next time
8. Dont feel sad for others, we have all spanked an SR-T to make up for it
9-infiniti. See #1 again

You will get him next time

An intake does nothing for an srt. What are you surprised about, the srt will beat a s2k with equal drivers.

lol....thanks alot guys....

but seriously...im not an expert driver....so do i need improving on my driving skills then...or was the 20 roll too low....??
The s2k in 1st at a 30roll is a killer...30 is the lowest I'll go from a roll on race..Try that next time...and go to an autox or something to brush up on those driving skill's of yours...If he has a stage 1 srt4 with only an intake...You should have walked him pretty good...if he has a stage two it would be the opposite.

well we all know your shifting isn't very good... since you did say you missshifted into 3rd gear the first time around.... so it's your driving that caused you to lose...

Wow you guys are living in fantasy land. I was behind an s2k the other day, and he punched it at about 45, and I babied it with little traction, and walked right around him like he was standing still. Srts have hung better when I have traction.
Srts are low 14 second cars on average just like an s2000. Let me guess you guys think you run mid 13s stock?
