Default My First run with a SRT-4

Well last night i was with a bunch of buddies of mine...and my good friend Matt has a SRT-4.....well we have been wanting to race one another and finally got the chance....someone said to run from a 20 roll......we agreed....

the first run... we ran...on three honks...on a 20 roll....well i had the edge....and then i missed 3rd and he caught up to me...and when i put it into gear he slowly started creeping ahead and won by half a car to 3/4 car....

the second run....we ran from a 20 roll..and this time we had a slight jump on me.......we went and he started to slowly pull away i was at his rear bumper the whole time...so i say about a car...i was really disappointed because i thought i should be able to take him....

My car is MY01 with just invidia exhuast...bone stock basically....

SRT-4 was modded...he said he only has an intake....but i dunno...

Was i that poor of a shifter....or driver...ur thoughts are welcomed and any improvements on the best roll to go on....

When going from a roll you want be at least around 5800 rpm. Anything below that and you wont do too well. Always start at atleast 5800 from any type of race form a roll!!!

i started at 4000rpm...i knew i had to be right before vtec if not in vtec...but it just took soo long to hit it...and then to play catch up....

we called it a draw bc the first time i i had him until i missed 3rd...

even at 4000rpm, you should have stayed even and then pulled on the top end. you may need to work on your shifting speed and timing with redline.
