Default my 220 whp NA s2k vs boosted 94 rx7turbo 310 whp

another cruising night and decided to have a go with a friends 94 FD turbo boosted and dyno tuned to 310 whp...all my friends wanted to see what my modded NA 03 s2000 can put up a good fight or not....to me i highly doubt i have a chance or not...but i tried anyways for the hell of it...it was from a 2nd gear roll both of us cruising about 60-65 km b4 we hit the hwy light intersection and once we both hit the first line we both off...first try i pulled 3 cars in 2nd gear and i was like wtf??? was my friend trying?? Then he started catching up when i reached 4th gear vtec..he pulled 1 car and we both let off after hitting 180 km...then we all pulled over and talked about it...i asked him that wasn;t legitimate right? he said he was in 3rd gear and lagged like crazy and no boost kicking so we had to go again...went back to same spot did same routine...2nd try we both off again..2nd gear was pretty even neck ot neck... then 3rd gear he pulled about 1 car then 4th another car...then i gave up..we both let off...oh well i admit my lost but i can tell ya that is one fast FD...i am sure he can beat more if we kept goin but i thought no point in goin faster and risk getting a speeding ticket when we both know who won in the end....just thought i would like to share my experience and story...

so what are u running to get 220whp? my goal was 225whp with bolt ons; just not sure the route to go. i was thinking of doing intake, toda header, test pipe, exhaust, vafc. anything else that youve done to get that #?

i use to have your setup that u are thinking of running...spoon intake, toda header, t1r exhaust and testpipe and tuned vafc...i only ran 208-210whp on the dyno with that setup..toda is a very good piece header but to get the fullest potential out of it i don't think vafc can tune it to its max potential...i changed all my parts to j's racing and reached closer towards 220 whp..but there is a guy using the system u want and using toda header with aem ems and got 220 whp on the dyno...just do a search on it to find out

s2kboy03- I don't know how many times I've wished a white S2K was in the lot the day I picked up my car, instead of the black I have now. Don't get me wrong, I love my black S....when she's clean, but have always loved the white the most.

Great run with the rx7. One of my all time favorite cars, but never got one b/c of the issues of ownership. I thought he'd pull a bit more on you, but nevertheless, you did very well!

I do have one question though. This is the first time I really looked at your car and I noticed the license plate. Does that impact the engine temp at all do you think? I like the way you placed it there, but I'm a bit concerned about heat, since in the summer it does get mighty hot here. I never once put on my front tags since I bought my S new, but often times feel I should since I'm somewhat worried over getting a silly ticket for the misdemeanor. If this works well, with no detrimental affects, I'll definitely go this route.

Anyone else do this and have comments or have the same concerns?

hmmm i don;t really see a big factor with the plate there....but then again i upgraded to a dual core fwin 55mm race radiator..but when i had it stock i never had a over heat problem at all...to me it shouldn;t be a problem at all nether less with a stock rad or an aftermarket one...i hope this helps ya...sorry cannot provide much info about this but best is do some more research on it
